Title: Extraction methods of representative information in product reviews
Authors: MA Xuejing, REN Ming
PP: 2183-2189
Abstract: This paper proposes an information extraction perspective to conduct clustering and then extract reviews from each cluster. In extracting reviews from each cluster, one can use two extract methods i.e. similar-review-first or diverse-review-first. This paper illustrates the proposed method based on reviews data and further tests on the performance of the two approaches. It is shown that the reviews set from two approaches have no significant difference on coverage, but the reviews set from diverse-review-first outperforms the one from similar-review-first on redundancy.

Title: Optimization model for tariff packages based on the price of package
Authors: NING Jianan, FU Sibao
PP: 2171-2177
Abstract: Tariff package is an effective way to satisfy different customers’ requirements in the telecom market via the diversification of products. However, more and more tariff packages not only increase the difficulty of consumer choice, but also bring great management costs. Differed from the method to acquire the new tariff packages through analyzing the customers distribution, this paper puts forward a method relying on package price, and on the basis, builds the basic tariff package change-revenue model and advanced tariff package change-revenue model, which provides a theoretical basis for adjustment of tariff package. The method achieves the goal for cutting tariff packages and guarantees the operators income maximization. Finally, a tariff package case of a telecom company is given to evaluate the proposed method and model.

Title: Regional districting and integrated optimization of distribution routing with capacity constraints
Authors: LEI Hongtao, QI Zhenyi
PP: 2149-2162
Abstract: This paper studies the capacitated logistics districting routing problem. In the paper, three models of integration optimization are defined for different demands, and two heuristic algorithms are provided for the problem solving. In the extended experiments, several instances are randomly generated and the final results validate the effectiveness of the models and the heuristics. The experimental results confirm that the K-means/scanning method is superior to the K-means/saving method, different objective functions prompt the different characteristics, and the capacity constraint leads higher objective function values.

Title: Effect of cost efficiency on performance of Chinese logistics listed companies
Authors: ZHANG Yi
PP: 2128-2139
Abstract: The article calculates the values of cost efficiency of 20 Chinese logistics listed companies during the time from the years of 2000-2009 by the NEW-COST-DEA methods. From the perspective of the rate of deviation of actual cost to the optimal cost, i.e. cost over-utilization and under-utilization, return on assets (ROA) are estimated. The result shows that cost efficiency has significant positive effect on performance. And cost over-utilization has significant negative effect on performance. The effect of cost under-utilization is not significant. Capital and human investment are both over-utilized, and the degree of capital investment is more obvious. Labor cost efficiency has more significant positive effect on performance than capital cost efficiency. The larger-scale logistics companies have no significant advantage of scale effect and cost efficiency over the middle and small-scale logistics companies.

Title: Corporate governance, R&D investment and corporate performance
Authors: LI Wei, MAO Qiaoling
PP: 2098-2905
Abstract: This essay studies the impacts on the corporate performance from interactive effects between corporate governance and R&D investment. The study shows that R&D investment contributes to corporate performance improvement but inclines to be swayed by corporate governance. The R&D investment can only be conducive to corporate performance when shareholdings are centralized to a certain level. Centralized shareholdings by institutions and managements significantly play a constant and positive role in R&D investment optimization, whereas the interactive effect between the shareholding commensuration and R&D investment is not noticeable. Meanwhile, the interactive effects greatly differ in state-owned enterprises and in private ones. In terms of state-owned enterprises, the centralized level of shareholdings and ownership by institutions are conducive to the R&D investment optimization, not withstanding the indistinctive contributing to the corporate performance improvement. Furthermore, the interactive effect of management’s ownership is not notable in state-owned enterprises.
