Title: A novel control algorithm for dynamic quantitative weighing system
Authors: GAO Junfeng, DONG Huaiguo PP: 2092-2097 Abstract: There is a contradiction problem between weighing accuracy and weighing speed of dynamic quantitative weighing system. For this problem, based on incremental automatic gravimetric filling weighing system, a mathematical model was constructed with Moore finite state machine. In order to accurately control the state migration, a dynamic adaptive state prediction control (ASPC) algorithm was proposed. The mathematics analysis showed that the measured value, current state and predicted value were the mainly factors of state migration. The ASPC algorithm was compared with other prediction algorithms through quantiative weighing experiment. The results indicated that ASPC algorithm was an effective way to coordinate the conflicts of weighing accuracy and weighing speed to some extent, and the weighing range was expanded. Title: Application research on split augmented Lagrangian shrinkage algorithm in magnetic resonance imaging based on compressed sensing
Authors: ZHENG Qingbin, DONG Enqing, YANG Pei, LIU Wei PP: 2082-2091 Abstract: In order to meet the demand of reducing scan time of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), accelerating MRI and reconstructing a high quality image from less acquisition data is as much as possible. MRI method based on compressed sensing (CS) with multiple regularizations (two regularizations including total variation norm and L1 norm or three regularizations consist of total variation, L1 norm and wavelet tree structure) is proposed in this paper, which is implemented by applying split augmented Lagrangian shrinkage algorithm (SALSA). To solve magnetic resonance image reconstruction problems with linear combinations of total variation and L1 norm, we utilize composite split denoising (CSD) to split the original complex problem into total variation (TV) norm and L1 norm regularization subproblems which are simple and easy to be solved respectively in this paper. The reconstructed image is obtained from the weighted average of solutions from two subproblems in an iterative framework. Because each of the splitted subproblems can be regarded as MRI model based on CS with single regularization, and for solving the kind of model, split augmented Lagrangian shrinkage algorithm has advantage over existing fast algorithm such as fast iterative shrinkage thresholding (FIST) and two step iterative shrinkage thresholding (TwIST) in convergence speed. Therefore, we propose to adopt SALSA to solve the subproblems. Moreover, in order to solve magnetic resonance image reconstruction problems with linear combinations of total variation, L1 norm and wavelet tree structure, we can split the original problem into three subproblems in the same manner, which can be processed by existing iteration scheme. A great deal of experimental results shows that the proposed CSMRI methods can effectively reconstruct the original image. Compared with existing algorithms such as compressed MRI reconstruction based on total variation (TVCMRI), reconstruction from partial Fourier data (RecPF), composite splitting algorithms (CSA), fast composite splitting algorithms (FCSA) and wavelet tree sparsity MRI (WaTMRI), the proposed methods have greatly improved the quality of the reconstructed image and have better visual effects. Authors: QIU Jing, WANG Niu PP: 2068-2074 Abstract: Against the problem of strong interference in gripper force measurement, a method of extended Kalman filter (EKF) based on nonlinear model of the whole closed-loop force control system was proposed. The extended Kalman filter was designed based on gripper piecewise nonlinear state-space model. In simulation and actual system experiments, the extended Kalman filter was applied and compared with Butterworth low-pass filter and mixed filter based on digital signal processor (DSP). The results demonstrated that the proposed method was effective, and the estimation of gripper force measurement could meet the requirements of closed-loop control. Title: A spiral antenna with integrated parallel-plane feeding structure
Authors: HUANG Huifen, LÜ Zonglin PP: 2058-2061 Abstract: The vertical Balun always has a significantly long length, inconsistent with the requirements of the low profile spiral antenna geometry. A spiral antenna with integrated parallel-plane feeding structure is proposed in this paper. The antenna used has smaller size and obviously improved axial ratio compared to the equiangular spiral antenna at low frequencies. And the traditional Balun in the third dimension is moved to the planar plane. The antenna and the Dyson-style Balun have been integrated into a multi-layer structure. The resulting structure maintains the typical radiation behavior and the broadband operation of the spiral antennas, but the vertical Balun is integrated at the same plane with the antenna. The overall size of the spiral antenna is largely reduced. Keywords: radio propagation; spiral antenna; parallel-plane feeding; ultra-wideband |

Title: Queuing-based performance analysis for opportunistic spectrum access of the secondary users in cognitive radio networks
Authors: ZHANG Lei, HU Jing, WU Ming, SUN Dafei, SONG Tiecheng PP: 2052-2057 Abstract: In cognitive radio networks, analyzing the waiting time before opportunistically accessing to the idle spectrum of primary users can help to improve the spectrum access probability for the secondary users, and thus, improve the spectrum efficiency. Accordingly, this paper proposes a Markov queuing model by considering the activity of both primary and secondary users in the cognitive radio network, and obtains the average waiting time of the secondary user in the steady state before access to the spectrum through the matrix-geometric solution theory. The final number results not only confirm the rationality of the analysis but also provide a reference to meet the secondary user’s waiting delay before using the spectrum for the system. Title: Undefended relay access algorithm of WSN under standard deterministic deployment
Authors: DENG Changjian PP: 2043-2051 Abstract: In order to solve the problem of node deployment of wireless sensor networks (WSN) for equipment condition online monitoring system in power plants having large arbitrariness, evaluating indicators such as valid total power consume, active communication overlap, valid life circle of networks and so on were approved. Then the WSN of hierarchy MESH network of standard deterministic deployment was constructed under the constraint of valid power consumes and communication overlap. Based on this deployment, the random access algorithm under the transparent mode of independence relay nodes based on information routing was designed, and ultra low power consume multi hop communication under industrial standard deterministic deployment was realized. Experiments showed that when number of hops was increased, the network could work normally, and mean current consume could be decreased (some devices were decreased more than 100%), and it was easy to construct standard large scale monitoring network. Title: Low-complexity side information generation algorithm in distributed video coding system
Authors: YUE Hong, LIU Xiaojuan, QING Linbo, HE Xiaohai PP: 2036-2042 Abstract: In order to reduce the complexity of the side information generation, this paper proposes a structure tensor-based side information generation algorithm. The proposed algorithm can obtain the levels of movement in disparity block by computing the structure tensor, then the video frames are divided into background, slow movement and severe movement regions according to the levels of movement. Finally, different search ranges are set up for the three different regions to generate side information, respectively. Simulation results show that the complexity can be reduced about 55%~97% by using the proposed algorithm, while the quality decreasing of side information is neglectable. Authors: XU Wei, WANG Li, WANG Qiang, LIU Lipu, MENG Huan, TONG Yexiang PP: 2003-2006 Abstract: In this paper, luminous efficiency of organic light-emitting diodes has been enhanced by the optimization of the emission layer (EML). By optimizing the thickness of EML, we achieved a current efficiency of 6.53 cd/A (Device 2) at a current density of 20 mA/cm2, Which is 40% higher compared with Device 1 and 23% higher compared with Device 3. This improvement in the device efficiency has been attributed to the optimization of the EML which leads to the effective carrier balance in the emission zone.
