Authors: HUANG Yinqiang, YANG Mingyu
PP: 391-397
Abstract: At first, this paper briefly introduces the IDEF0 (integrated computer aided manufacturing definition 0) method, and then elaborates the IDEF0-C (IDEF0-cost) method which joins the cost information box and the IDEF0 method. According to the level of the detail, IDEF0-C can be divided into IDEF0-CⅠ, IDEF0-CⅡ, IDEF0-C Ⅲ. IDEF0-CⅠ module describes the total cost of module. Further, IDEF0-C Ⅱ decomposes the IDEF0-C Ⅰ modules into a single operation cost level. IDEF0-C Ⅲ is more perfect, and it also analysizes the information transmission cost. This research provides a theoretical foundation for modeling and analysis based on the cost of IDEF0, and develops the corresponding rules, which has great significance for the analysis and optimization of enterprise cost.

PP: 383-390
Abstract: In view of the surveillance video of the middle and low density of population, the method based on pixels for people was used to get the foreground image after image analysis of the total image pixels and edge pixels. For high density crowd in surveillance video, we adopted the method of texture analysis from the perspective of statistics, and extracted the texture features based on the gray level co-occurrence matrix, then normalized the results. Then, we used the assessment method of fusion to determine low or high density based on foreground pixel proportion in the whole background pixels of the current frame image. Finally, because of the positive correlation among the foreground image pixels, edge pixels and population density, and the linear correlation between texture features and population density, we used the method of least squares respectively to get the crowd density curves in middle, low and high density of population, and realized the estimation for different population density with higher accuracy.

Title: Motion retrieval method based on key features
Authors: HUANG Tianyu
PP: 363-369
Abstract: In order to obtain the rapid motion retrieval, a fast motion retrieval method based on key motion features is proposed. The method applies the spatio-temporal Isomap on effective aspects of motion data to yield a reduced low-dimension space, where the main characteristics of motion are kept. The lower complexity of the embedded motion curve allows a simple iterative method which locates the key-poses of the original motion. The paper presents a dynamic method of constructing a binary keyfeature splitting (BKS) tree with significant points to search for a given motion example. The experiment proves that, with proper dynamic algorithm and key-pose selection in terms of spatio-temporal variations, the method can consume a small amount of pre-processing time, and achieve precise and effective retrieval.

PP: 351-356
Abstract: This paper adopts real rock-scissor-paper game paradigm and is based on the competition reaction from electroencephalogram (EEG) analysis under different condition (lose, win), and the game of the brain activity of EEG signal for every frequency domain and time domain is analysized. Frequency domain analysis results show that with the increase of frequency, the brain electrical signal on the energy of the whole presents a decreasing trend, the α and β band energy are relatively similar. θ, α and β band energy under the condition of the last round of lose is significantly higher than the previous situation of winning. The time domain analysis results show that the temporal region and district have strong correlation in the process of game. The prefrontal leading role is verified in the decision-making process, and the frequency domain analysis results show that the previous round participants who losed may have a bigger desire to win in the next round of in the game. The result provides references for the brain cognitive research.

PP: 345-350
Abstract: According to the paper structure characters and the requirement of paper rapid sharing, this paper proposes a lightweight adaptive push model based on the transmission for points of interest. The model defines the user's point of interest tree to solve the problem of the migration of user interest by filling interest points and adding time factor into the tree. By mining the user reading behaviors, the model constantly revises user's point of interest tree. At the pushing stage, the hybrid filtering pushing algorithm is used to push mixed results. This model is applied to the demonstration platform of Chinese Science Paper Online on handheld terminal services. And by the comparison with the collaborative filtering model based on educational background, the experiments show that the model can effectively meet the needs of personalized paper rapid sharing.

PP: 339-344
Abstract: In this paper, the general classification model is studied, and the inadequacies of the general model for real-time classification of the webpage is analysized. On this basis, for more suitable for real-time classification, this paper presents a classification model based on the theme. Firstly, the theme of vertical search engine crawlers is constructed through Nutch, which can crawl the webpage in all the time , so it can ensure the real-time web. Secondly, part of the pages which has nothing to do with the classification are removed by processing the crawling results of Nutch through theme denoising. In the end, the crawled webpages are classfied. The experiments show that the speed and accuracy can be improved with this model. For the requirement of big data of the webpage classification on real-time, this model can effectively optimize the input sample and save computing time.

Authors: WU Huihui, WU Qiong, XU Hongwei, LIU Yang, WANG Xidian, YANG Xin, DING Mingyue
PP: 314-321
Abstract: This paper proposed an automated layer extraction based on Snake (ALES) to extract ultrasound carotid intima-media thickness. After selecting the region of interest (ROI) and initializing the contour, ultrasound carotid intima was extracted by Snake while adventitia by gradient vector flow (GVF)-Snake which used gradient vector flow as its external force. Thus, the final intima and adventitia were obtained. Then, it was validated by comparing it with an improved active model approach which used a new external energy function. The validation experiment was based on ultrasound carotid images with known ground truth. The segmentation results of the two approaches were compared by calculating relative errors between ground truth and intima-media thickness (IMT) extracted by improved active model approach and ALES. It was demonstrated that the ALES approach could obtain better results to extract ultrasound carotid IMT due to its smaller relative errors.

Authors: LÜ Qi, WANG Bin, ZHANG Liming
PP: 306-313
Abstract: Based on both capabilities and defects of existing models, the paper proposes a computational saliency-oriented model from the perspective of frequency domain. This model employs the mechanism of receptive field and the saliency is computed in spatial domain. A saliency map can be generated by two main steps: firstly, Gabor wavelet decomposition of the input image at different levels and orientations is used to produce the feature components, and then these components are selected and fused in the sense of 2D entropy to generate the final saliency map. It is proved that the proposed algorithm outperforms most of state-of-the-art algorithms at human fixation prediction for both psychological patterns and natural images including salient objects with arbitrary sizes. Besides, biological plausibility of Gabor filter makes our approach more reliable and adaptive to various stimuli.

Title: Face recognition using relative gradient patterns of oriented edge magnitudes
Authors: YANG Liping, YE Hongwei
PP: 300-305
Abstract: When illumination condition changes drastically, it is difficult for pattern of oriented edge magnitude (POEM) method to acquire enough feature description information. To alleviate the issue, a relative gradient pattern of oriented edge magnitudes (RGPOEM) method is proposed in this paper. The method decomposes the relative gradient magnitude image into several sub images according to the orientations of gradient. Each of these sub images is then filtered and encoded using local binary patterns. Finally, all the encoded local binary patterns (LBP) histogram features are connected by lexicographic ordering and reduced to a low-dimensional subspace using locality preserving projections (LPP) to form a low-dimensional RGPOEM feature. Experimental results on Yale and PIE subsets indicate that RGPOEM, which inherits the superior characteristics of POEM, exhibits much robustness to illumination variance.
