Abstract:The isospin coupling-channel decomposition of the potential energy density functional is carried out within the covariant density functional theory, and their isospin and density dependence in particular the influence on the symmetry energy is studied. It is found that both isospin-singlet and isospin-triplet components of the potential energy play the dominant role in deciding the symmetry energy, especially when the Fock diagram is introduced. The results illustrate a quite different mechanism to the origin of the symmetry energy from the microscopic Brueckner-Hartree-Fock theory, and demonstrate the importance of the Fork diagram, especially from the isoscalar mesons, in the isospin properties of the in-medium nuclear force at high density.

Abstract:A recent experiment [E. Ideguchi, et al., Phys. Lett. B 686 (2010) 18] found a superdeformed rotational band in 40Ar, which is analyzed by using the projected shell model. Calculations with axial symmetry deformation are performed up to spin I = 18 state. Our calculation indicates a perfect collective rotational behavior of the 40Ar superdeformed band till the band termination spin. A multiparticle-multihole configuration is found to interpret the observed superdeformed band. The calculated transitional quadrupole moments Qt and B(E2) values can reproduce the existing experiment data reasonable well, and therefore, can provide a prediction for the high spin region where no data for Qt and B(E2) exist. We suggest that effect of triaxial superdeformation is very small in this spin range.

Abstract:Elastic scattering of 6He on both proton and carbon targets were measured at82.3 MeV/nucleon. For both targets, the measured differential cross sections show a large enhancementat small angles relative to the Rutherford cross section, similar to those observed at lowerenergies for the scattering of halo nuclei. For the proton target, theexperimental results were well reproduced by optical modelcalculations by using the global potential KD02 with a reduction of thereal part, as well as by using the microscopic JLM potential with a reduction of imaginary part. For the carbon target, the overall structure of the cross section is reasonablyreproduced by the optical model calculations.

Abstract:The differential cross sections for reactions 8He(p, d)7He g.s and 8He(p, t)6He2+ were measured by the coincidence of d+ 6He and t+ 4He in a wide angular range from 15 to 130 degree in the center-of-mass system. The cross sections of the 8He(p, t)6He g.s reaction were extremely lower than that of 8He(p, t)6He2+ reaction, and was not obtained from the present data. The experimental results were compared to the preliminary theoretical calculations in the frame of adiabatic distorted-wave approximation with the code Fresco. The results show that the configuration of (1p3/2)2(1p1/2)2 may have some probability in the ground state wave function of 8He. The cluster structure of 8He = 5H + 3H could not be neglected.

Abstract:The excited states of the doubly-odd 120I have been investigated via the 110Pd(14N,4n) and the 114Cd(10B,4n) reactions at beam energies of 64 and 48 MeV, respectively. The previously known bands are extended, and a new band structure is established. The yrast band is assigned to the πh(11/2)νh(11/2) configuration instead of the previously assigned πg(7/2)νh(11/2) configuration. Possible configurations of the other observed bands are discussed.

Abstract:High spin states of the odd-odd nucleus 122I have been investigated via the fusion-evaporation reaction 116Cd(11B,5n) at a beam energy of 68 MeV. The yrast band is extended up to Iπ = (29+). The band termination at Iπ = (22+) reported in previous studies is confirmed and interpreted as being due to a shape change from collective prolate to noncollective oblate according to Total-Routhian-Surface (TRS) calculations. In addition, the Iπ = (29+) state is assigned to the configuration corresponding to the full alignment of all valance nucleons outside the semi-closed shell.

Abstract:Proton-antihyperon systems with J=0 and J=1 are dynamicallyinvestigated within the framework of two constituent quark models:the chiral quark model and the quark delocalization colorscreening model. The model parameters are fixed by nucleon-antinucleonS-wave experimental elastic scattering cross section. The results show that, there is no s-wave bound state as indicatedby an enhancement near the threshold of p-anti-Lambda in J/psi decay. However, a IJ=1/2 0 p-anti-Sigma resonance state is given inthe quark delocalization color screening model.

Abstract:The nucleon-antinucleon interaction is studied by usingresonating-group-method in the framework of twoconstituent quark models: the chiral quark model and thequark delocalization color screening model, which can give agood description of baryon properties and nucleon-nucleoninteraction. The experimental dataof proton-antiproton $S$-wave elastic scattering cross sectioncan be well reproduced by adjusting properlyone-gluon annihilation coupling constant. With thefixed model parameters, a dynamical calculation of allpossible $S$-wave nucleon-antinucleon states withchannel-coupling is performed. The calculated results show thatthe effect of channel-coupling is not strong to form a boundstate as indicated by a strong enhancement atthreshold of $par{p}$ in $J/psi$ radiative decay.

Abstract:High-spin states of 160Tm are studied via in-beam gamma-ray spectroscopy. Previously known rotational bands are confirmed, and feed into low-lying states which are enriched in this work. A 4-quasiparticle band with configuration of 冟g7/2剈冝h9/2剈(冝i13/2)2 is established. Signature splitting features of 冟h11/2剈冝i13/2 and 冟h11/2剈冝h9/2 bands are presented.
