Abstract:The Electric Motor Train Units (EMU) load is the main load of the power traction system for high-speed railway, so the accuracy of line characteristic description has an important influence on establishing traction load model. This article designed the logical control strategy for traction drive system and set up a complete digital simulation model of the traction drive system for CRH2 EMU, and then analyzed the traction and braking characteristics under different operating conditions, for example, ideal operation, voltage fluctuation of power supply system and different line factors such as slopes, curves and tunnels. Simulation results show that the designed model is effective and accurate.

Abstract:With the increase in electrical equipment in More/All Electric Aircraft, 270V dc power supply system will be needed. One method for DC interruption is forced current zero (FCZ). Based on FCZ technology with transverse-magnetic-field contact, the spiral-type contacts are designed. Experiments of different current are carried with the diameters being 30 mm, 40mm and 50 mm, when the arcing surface materials are Cu-W80 alloy and Cu-Cr50 alloy respectively. It is indicated by the experiment results that breaking capacity of vacuum interrupter and vacuum arc appearance are closely related to the electrode diameter and material. For the same size of electrode diameter, the breaking capacity in Cu-Cr50 is better than that in Cu-W80. With the electrode diameter increasing, the breaking capacity is better in lager diameter vacuum interrupter. When the arcing time is longer than 1 ms, the intensive burning arc occurs and affects the breaking performance of spiral-type contacts. If the DC-arcing stage is prolonged, the total arcing energy increases, which leads to lower breaking capacity.

Abstract:This paper presents a combined interior point method bacterial colony chemotaxis(BCC) algorithm for dynamic economic emission robust dispatch(DEERD) problem with load uncertainty. First of all, this paper establishes the robust optimization model of dynamic emission economic dispatch problem. Then combined with the interior-point method as well as the constraint processing strategy, bacterial colony chemotaxis algorithm can deal with high dimensional constrained optimization problems more effectively. Finally, this paper proposes the framework of robust dynamic emission economic dispatch problem, and the IEEE30 node system is tested to verify the validity of the proposed method. Results show that the proposed method can provide dispatch strategy which can meet the system constraints and keep the system ability of robust fault-tolerant.

Abstract:This paper presents the development and implementation of a wavelet modulation (WM) technique for the three-phase three-level voltage source inverter. The WM technique is based on constructing a nondyadic-type multiresolution analysis (MRA), which supports sampling continuous time sinusoidal signals in a nonuniform recurrent manner, then reconstructing it using inverter switching actions. The simulated and experimental performances of the three-phase three-level inverter, which is realized by the WM technique, are investigated. To compare the performances of WM technique, those of PWM and SVPWM techniques are obtained. The results show that the high magnitude of fundamental components and significantly reduced harmonic contents of the inverter outputs can be achieved by using WM in the three-phase three-level inverters and it can be easily realized.

Abstract:In this paper, the plasma water treatment technology can degrade high concentrations of refractory organic wastewater efficiently, with the advantage of no additives, and no secondary pollution and it has become a research hotspot in recent years. According to the phase state participated by the mediators, the plasma water treatment technology can be divided into three categories: gas phase electrical discharge, liquid phase electrical discharge, and gas-liquid mixed phase electrical discharge water treatment. According to the above classification, not only the development course of the plasma water treatment technology has been deeply analyzed, but also the structure, the work principle and the treatment effect of several representative devices in latest researches has been introduced in this paper. Through the analysis of this article, it has been found that the most difficult problem for the plasma water treatment technology is how to promote its industrialization process, improving the amount of water treatment in specified unit of time, which will be a huge challenge for us.

Abstract:In this paper, To determine the effects of the factors such as electrode position, velocity and voltage on electrical characteristics of needle-ring atmosphere helium plasma jet, a jet device was designed in this study. The experimental results showed that: the stable positive current "multi-pulse" could be achieved, with three pulses at most and the larger the H valve (distance between ground electrode and nozzle) is, the earlier the positive current "multi-pulse" appeared; with the increase of H value, the amplitude of positive current impulse becomes higher; when H was 28 mm, in the stage of positive multi-pulse, displacement current in bulge form presented at the negative direction, and with the decrease of H value, the negative current pulse gradually appeared. Furthermore, the change of helium flow had little effect on the power of atmospheric pressure plasma jet under fixed voltage, however the power increased with the increase of H value; under the same voltage, with the increase of helium flow, jet length firstly increased to the maximum value, then decreased and stabilized; when H value increased, jet length presented a decreasing trend. We have also proposed a mechanism of the above experimental phenomena.

Abstract:In this paper, the electromagnetic performances of a novel axial field flux-switching fault-tolerant (AFFSFT) machine are investigated based on equivalent magnetic circuit (EMC) method. A nonlinear EMC model of the AFFSFT machine is proposed and built, and the static characteristics of the machine, including the air-gap flux density, permanent magnetic flux linkage, back electromotive force (EMF) and inductance characteristics are analyzed. The calculated results are compared with those predicted by finite element method (FEM). Experiments are done with a prototype. The analysis results are consistent with the experimental results well, verifying the feasibility of the EMC method.

Abstract:A cascaded brushless doubly fed induction generator-based wind energy conversion system (CBDFIG-WECS), with the merits of high reliability, flexible power control and reduced power converter capacity, is presented in this paper. Based on the dynamic modeling of DPC,two conventional DPC strategies are specifically introduced. Then an encoderless DPC strategy is proposed, in which the rotor current/position sensor is removed and only the parameter of control machine stator resistance is involved, contributing to simplicity, high reliability, and robustness of the controller. The effectiveness of the proposed DPC strategy is validated by simulations.
