	Abstract:Built in 1608, the Farnese Theatre is located in the Palazzo Pilota in the old city of Palma, Italy. It has a history of over 400 years. Taking the ancient architecture of Farnese Theater in Parma, Italy as the research object, this paper investigates its architectural history, building materials and other information; The related building and structure drawing are made by laser 3D scanning survey; Through Ansys finite element analysis software, its three-dimensional analysis model is established, and its seismic performance is studied. The numerical results show that the maximum deformation along the longitudinal direction of the structure occurs at the bottom of the truss under earthquake action;whereas for earthquake along the transversal direction, the maximum displacement is along the bottom part of the principal and back facade and along the trusses that are positioned quite in the central part.Because the stiffness of the wooden parts is lower than that of the masonry corridor, the deformation of the wooden corridor and the wooden truss is more significant than that of the masonry wall plate.

	Abstract:The outdoor wind analysis simulation software Flow design calculation method is used to simulate and analyze the outdoor wind environment of the chemical plant. The evaluation of outdoor flow field distribution is based on the building plan and the general plan of the building. Using the turbulence model, the number of calculation grids is 300. Combined with the meteorological parameters and relevant statistical data of the project location, the northeast wind is dominant in winter, with an average wind speed of 2.8m/s; the southeast wind is dominant in summer, with an average wind speed of 3.8m/s. Two working conditions are used to simulate the outdoor wind environment of the project building. The building layout of the factory area is conducive to the organization of indoor natural ventilation. As long as the open area of the external windows of the factory building meets the requirements, the factory building can achieve good indoor ventilation effects.

	Abstract:In the early twentieth century, the Little Tokyo district in northern Shanghai was partially included in an urban plan carried out by the Shanghai Land Investment. In 1930 the project coped with the increasing population, establishing two extended neighborhoods known as RuiKang Li and RuiQing Li. A double unit in RuiKang Li was selected to perform constructive assessments and structural analyses. The units, built according to the New Shikumen Lilong features, are investigated firstly from an architectural perspective and then from structural standpoint defining a multidisciplinary profile of the current study. Indeed, the main purpose is to clarify notions about construction technology to provide neat information for studying its structural behavior. Coherent linear static and dynamic analyses are achieved through the development of a consistent numerical model, based on assumptions and surveys, using ANSYS Mechanical R.15.0.

	Abstract:In this paper, the consideration of system selection of long-span steel structure, and the structural analysis and design optimization of Lamellar-Kiewitt suspend-dome were studied. The first part of this paper summarized and classified all kinds of the long-span spatial steel structure system, and their main structural features, development, and application, advantages, and disadvantages were briefly introduced. Selecting the feasible system was considered based on architecture, structure, economy, and buildability index. The Lamella-Kiewitt suspend-dome is selected as the roof structure, and the static performance of the structure is obtained by nonlinear geometric static analysis, the eigenvalue analysis is carried out by subspace iteration method, and the response spectrum analysis is adopted for dynamic analysis of the structure. The axial stress in cable-strut, the overall deflection of the roof structure, and the natural frequency were satisfied with the Chinese design code. The structural optimization of the roof structure is studied under the various rise-to-span ratio, strut-height, and single-layer reticulated shell types. Analyses and optimization of suspend-dome in the paper were conducted with finite element software Midas Gen. From the result of optimization show that the total steel consumption of Lamella-Kiewitt single-layer suspend-dome structure with four hoop cables has a good economy. The study of this paper can provide a reference for the construction of a similar structure in the future.

	Abstract:According to six groups of crumb rubbers concrete (CRC) with different steel fibers volume ratios and nano-silica contents (SFNS-CRC) under uniaxial test, discussing the effect of steel fiber and nano-silica content. Through data collection and analysis, a computational model for the Compressive strength and Modulus of elasticity on SFNS-CRC is proposed. Based on Weibull distribution and the hehypothesis of strain equivalence, one damage constitutive model was proposed by introducing one damage threshold parameters. Test results indicate that Relationship between compressive strength and Modulus of elasticity is different from natural concrete, but is similar to CRC. Regression formula of compressive strength, Modulus of elasticity, and the damage model curves are suggested.

	6. A Simple Anisotropic Bounding Surface Model for Saturated Soft Clay Considering Degradation under Cyclic Loading

	Abstract:In this study, a simple elastoplastic bounding surface plasticity model accounting for the degradation of saturated soft clay under cyclic loading is developed on the base of critical state soil mechanics and the bounding surface plasticity. The associated flow rule is adopted for simplicity. A preferable rotational hardening rule proposed by Dafalias is generalized into the domain of dynamic model after comparing different kinds of rotational hardening rules to describe the development of anisotropy in soft clay. A new interpolation function of plastic modulus associated with the length of the deviatoric plastic shear strain trajectory is introduced into the model to describe cyclic degradation. Compared with the existing cyclic elastoplastic model, the amount of parameters needed in the proposed model are relative fewer. Merely 9 material parameters with robust physical meaning including 5 Modified Cam Clay model constants are required. The applicability of the constitutive to predict the saturated soft clay's response is validated by comparing the model simulation of monotonic and cyclic loading behavior under undrained conditions with experimental results. The proposed model is capable of capturing the essential features of response in saturated clay, including anisotropy and degradation.

	Abstract:In this paper，the research concerns the countryside in the megalopolis referring to the rural areas around big cities, which are facing the dramatically changes from outside and inside. New multiple-development strategies are necessary and urgent for these areas. The MAT (multifunctional agriculture triangle) process is proposed based on the analysis of background and main contents of multifunctional agriculture. It is an areal (regional and local) development strategic approach and a complete logic system which can be explained as the sum of management, branding and spatial setting in the governance of a multifunctional agriculture strategy. The application of the multifunctional agriculture strategy in the China's new countryside construction will be illuminated according to the MAT process. Some guidelines which combine the MAT process with China's new countryside construction planning are proposed to guide multiple-development of China's countryside in the megalopolis.?????

	Abstract:There is emerging evidence that well-designed physical environment can improve the elderly's health, wellbeing and care. As the study on building design and quality of the elderly's life has been a focus, the necessity and significance of developing assessment tools for the elderly's living environment is recognized. However the effectiveness and development limitations of the tools developed have been matters of continues debate often challenging the universality. This paper tries to conduct a comparative study on the existing assessment tools of the senior's living environment, building on a rigorous literature review. 9 tools from the UK and the US are selected for study including Evaluation of The elderly's Living Environments (EVOLE), the architecture profession method, Therapeutic Environment Screening Survey for Residential Care (TESS-RC), Sheffield Care Environment Assessment Matrix (SCEAM), Multiphasic Environmental Assessment Procedure (MEAP), Therapeutic Environment Screening Survey for Nursing Homes (TESS-NH), Professional Environmental Assessment Procedure (PEAP), Scales for the Assessment of Environments for the Confused Elderly (SAECE), and the Nursing Unit Rating Scale (NURS). The tool's suitability for different building typology, aims and scopes of the tool, evaluation domains, assessment architectural elements, instrument's form and the methodology adopted therein, and development methodologies are analyzed and reviewed in this paper. It intends to offer reference for choosing a suitable tool to conduct an environment study or developing a new tool.

	9. Finite element analysis of mechanical properties of concrete-filled thin-walled steel tubular joints

	Abstract:With the development of large span bridge in China, large concrete-filled steel tubular truss and laced column structures appear constantly. The joints of these structures are mostly circular concrete-filled steel tubular (CFST) joints, and become thin-walled joints because the diameter-thickness-ratio of the chord is very large. In order to solve the problem of lacking of the theoretical basis on the mechanical properties of concrete-filled thin-walled steel tubular (CFTST) joints, refined finite element analyses were performed using ANSYS. The influence of geometrical parameters and loading conditions were analyzed to find the inherent pattern. The results showed that the ultimate capacities of CFTST specimens were smaller than that of CFST specimens with the same brace geometry and the same chord diameter under axial tension, axial compression, and in-plane bending, and the failure modes of CFTST and CFST specimens were different under axial tension and in-plane bending, while were basically the same under axial compression, however, the concrete crushing failure only occurred in CFTST joints, and did not generally appeared in the CFST ones. So the design method of CFTST joints and the CFST joints should be different. This research can not only provide scientific basis for the design of CFTST joints, but also effectively promote the application of CFTST truss and laced column in bridges, and can promote the improvement and development of the design theory of thin-walled steel structures.

	10. Finite element modelling and numerical investigation of multi-planar concrete-filled steel tubular KK joints

	Abstract:With the development of large span and heavy load modern engineering, concrete-filled steel tubular structures appear constantly. The joints of these structures are mostly multi-planar joints. In order to solve the problem of lacking of the investigation of multi-planar concrete-filled steel tubular (CFST) joints, the mechanical behaviour of CFST KK joints were studied through refined finite element simulation. Accurate finite element models of CFST KK joints were established by considering the material nonlinearity, the geometry nonlinearity, and the contact nonlinearity between the tube and the concrete. The spatial effect of multi-planar joints was be obtained by comparing with uni-planar joints. The FEM results showed that, the multi-planar carry-over effects had the maximum effect for the 60o CFST joints, the strength of multi-planar joints decreased compared with the planar joints, and the stiffness of them did not vary substantially. While for the 90o CFST joints, both the strength and stiffness of multi-planar joints did not vary substantially with the planar joints. This research can provide scientific basis for the design of multi-planar CFST joints, and effectively promote the application of CFST structures.
