Abstract:This paper presents a basic structure of superconducting current limiter (SFCL) with saturated iron core and compares the advantages and disadvantages of several kinds of SFCL. On this basis, the working principle of SFCL with saturated iron core is analyzed, and a dynamic system mathematical model of this type of SFCL is established. Simulation results show that the SFCL with saturated iron core can limit the short circuit fault current quickly and effectively. In this paper, a control system model with input of DC bias current and ac supply voltage, output of ac impedance of SFCL is presented. Through simulation, it shows that when short circuit fault occurs , then the DC bias current is cut off, the ac impedance of SFCL increases gradually, at las turn into a steady state.

Abstract:The mathematic model of a signal transduction networks can be used to analysis the system properties and give the future predict of the dynamic process. Thus, to effectively estimate model parameters is very important for developing appropriate models. It is still difficult to estimate the parameters of the system model because of laboratory constraints like observable players, sample size, noise level, and stimulation options. Inspired by the application in the control field, the extended Kalman filter technology was proposed to estimate the parameter of the biochemical networks in addition to the unobserved state variables. For this purpose, the TNF-α introduced NF-κB signal transduction pathway model is considered, and simulations show the effectiveness of filter technology.

Abstract:The dynamics of many systems in nowadays follow not only physical laws but also man-made rules. These systems are known as discrete event dynamic systems (DEDS's). Policy improvement of such systems is usually based on simulation, which is time consuming and provides only noisy performance evaluation. It is of great practical interest to understand how to allocate the computing budget among action candidates so that a better policy is found with high probability. Despite the abundant studies on simulation-based policy optimization, few consider this allocation problem. This paper considers this important problem. Based on the method of optimal computing budget allocation (OCBA) in simulation-based optimization, an efficient allocation procedure is developed, which is shown to asymptotically maximize a lower bound of the probability of correctly selecting the best action. This allocation procedure is compared with equal allocation, which is well adopted in practice, on numerical examples. The numerical results show that even when there are only finite computing budget to allocate, this OCBA-based allocation procedure outperforms equal allocation and has good performance. We hope this work brings insight to computing budget allocation for simulation-based policy improvement in more general situations.

Abstract:Establish the grey model of maintaining cost for torpedo, selecting the data for several years. To solve this problem that historical data at different time have different effects on the model prediction, processed raw data using fuzzy method. At the same time, weaken the randomness of the data by processing of weakening buffer operator. Simulation shows that this method is satisfactory.

Abstract:In response to acute perturbations from outside, cell can trigger its self-defense mechanisms to fight against genome stresses. To simulate the kinetics of cellular to respond to DNA damage at single cell level, a model of the double strand breaks (DSBs) generation and repair process was proposed under continuous IR. The model can be successfully used to present the kinetics of DSBs generation and their repair, as well as the complicated interactions among vital components during the continuous radiation time. In different IR dose domains, the simulations suggest that the capability of cellular responding to DNA damage begin to decrease as IR overpasses some strength threshold.

Abstract:To simulate the investigation of the cellular responding acute ion radiation (IR) under radiotherapy, by using the methods with the system biology and cyber-biology, a model of P53 stress response networks is proposed at single cell level. Meanwhile, the dynamic processes of DNA damage transferring, the complicated regulating among vital genes, as well as the degradation of toxins are presented during radiotherapy,. Especially, the plausible outcomes of cellular responding acute IR are predicted under different IR dose domains. Furthermore, some meaningful instructions in selecting the optimal IR dose and therapy time are provided prior to clinical radiotherapy.

7. SDG-Based Fault Isolation for Large-Scale Complex Systems Solved by Rough Set Theory

Abstract:Signed directed graph (SDG) is an important qualitative model that is used to describe large-scale complex systems and the cause-effect relationships among variables. It has been successfully applied in fault diagnosis, hazard assessment and other areas. In the fault isolation problem, the task is to find the fault origin that causes the abnormal phenomenon. However, as the basis of analysis, the inference method based on SDG, is simply a traversal search or a rule-based expert system. Because of the redundant or disordered information, the efficiency of these algorithms is quite low. Rough set theory provides an idea of handling vague information and can be used to data reduction, thus it can be introduced to the fault isolation problem (a kind of decision problems) to optimize the decision rules. The decision algorithm is proposed in this paper, in which the generation and reduction methods of the rules are related to the structure of the SDG model. We combine the algebraic and logical expression ways to achieve the purpose. Moreover, due to the convenience of expressing granularity, the decision algorithm is still applicable when the types of the faults we concerned are changed or reformed. Finally, an example of a 65t/h boiler system is carried out to illustrate and validate the proposed method, and some future trends of this method are also discussed.

Abstract:In head MRI image sequences, the boundary of each encephalic tissue is highly complicated and irregular. It is a real challenge to traditional 3D modeling algorithms. Support Vector Machine (SVM) based on statistical learning theory has solid theoretical foundation. Sphere-Shaped SVM (SSSVM) was originally developed for solving some special classification problems. In this paper, it is extended to image 3D modeling which tries to find the smallest hypersphere enclosing target data in high dimensional space by kernel function. However, selecting parameter is a complicated problem which directly affects modeling accuracy. Immune Algorithm (IA), mainly applied to optimization, is used to search optimal parameter for SSSVM. So, Immune SSSVM (ISSSVM) is proposed to construct the 3D models for encephalic tissues. As our experiment demonstrates, the models are constructed and reach satisfactory modeling accuracies. Theory and experiment indicate ISSSVM exhibits its great potential in image 3D modeling.

Abstract:In large software system, components depend on each other and should not be evaluated individually. The proposed methods for single COTS selection don’t fit multiple COTS selection well. This paper proposes a multiple COTS selection process based on extension of a proven system decomposition technique FCD. During the process of decomposition, local requirements and crosscutting requirements are identified. Local requirements are allocated into modules as local evaluation criteria for candidates COTS while crosscutting requirements are considered in global selection. Our process supports requirements adaptation to capabilities inherent in COTS products and takes into consideration varying granularity of COTS as well. The global selection is described as a nonlinearly constrained optimization problem with the purpose of determining an optimal combination of COTS products with maximal global fitness under certain constraints.
