Abstract:Recent advancements in wireless communication and the miniaturization of equipment with limited resources have given rise to a new enabling technology integrated communication and raning (ICAR). However, the majority of existing researches are theoretical and rely solely on simulation to assess performance, making it difficult to obtain tangible evidence for real-world applications. Thus, in this paper, we build an ICAR platform based on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) for semi-physical verification. Specifically, this platform consists of two software defined radio (SDR) nodes, with hardware components including antennas and universal software radio peripherals (USRPs), while the software component utilizes Matlab. We have designed a duplex mode for the proposed system. In the lab setting, we implement node discovery and link detection, estimate the performance of communication and ranging. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed system.

Abstract:With the rapid development of Internet of Things devices,delay-sensitive and computationally intensive mobile applicationsmake computing resources inevitably insufficient. Thus, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) devices become a reliable relay nodedue to the mobility, which can provide users with extensive communications and more computing capabilities. Our proposed scheme aims to optimize the offloading decision ofthe computing tasks requested by all users and the allocation of computing resources to minimize overallenergy consumption within constrained computing and maximum delay. To solve the optimization problem, wepropose an efficient UAV-Cloud-Offloading-Caching (UCOC) algorithm, which includes an iterative algorithm for offloading decisions of user request and a remote system (the UAVs system and the cloud system)cache updating algorithm. Our simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can significantly reduce the overall energy consumption ofthe whole system by 13\% to 33\%.

Abstract:Millimeter wave (mmWave) networks has been envisioned to satiate people’s growing need for high reliability and low delay of wireless networks. Besides reliability and delay, security in transmissions has also been gaining popularity due to the increasing exchange of critical and personal information. Existing studies mainly focus on the relations between only two of these performances, which is not comprehensive enough for future network design. In this paper, we analyze the relation among reliability, security and delay performance in large mmWave wireless networks, combining the tools of stochastic geometry and queueing theory. Our numerical results reveal that the all three performances get better for larger beamforming main lobe gain, while the increased blockage intensity only improves security performance but degrades reliability and delay performances when legitimate users are far from base stations, which indicates intricate relations among three performances. Our analysis provides important guidelines for designing networks applicable for various demands at quality of services in future applications.

Abstract:In a satellite network, the ISLs(Inter-Satellite Links) are always changing, so the overhead generated by the OSPF protocol has always been the key to affecting the performance of the satellite network. The research on network performance of mage-scale satellite networks is a new field. Therefore, based on the network performance tested from the small-scale satellite networks, this paper predicts the convergence time after an ISL is disconnected in the mage-scale satellite network. The experimental testbed is built based on Linux docker, and the packet capture program is used to capture data packets. For better observation and statistics, only one link is set to be disconnected during the experiment, and then the route convergence time and the size of overhead are counted. Finally, we give some fitting curves of routing convergence time and satellite scale which are based on multiple fitting functions, analyze the size of each part in the overhead and the quantitative relationship between each part, and observe the delay when flooding affects network services. At the same time, we also observe the load of each satellite during the flooding.

Abstract:Thanks to the advantages of flexible deployment and high mobility, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) meet the challenge of collecting data from the internet of things (IoT), which requires low-delay, low-energy consumption and high reliability. In this article, we consider a scenario where multi-UAVS assist dynamic IoT for information collection. To maximize energy efficiency, an optimization algorithm based on successive convex approximation (SCA) algorithm and Dinkelbach algorithm is proposed to jointly optimize the scheduling scheme, trajectory and velocity of UAVs. Finally, the algorithm complexity and convergence are analyzed. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme can significantly improve the system energy efficiency compared with other schemes.

Abstract:With the development of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), it has been widely used in many fields, such as transportation, shopping malls and logistics. Among them, RFID tag antenna is an important part of this technology, and the performance of tag antenna is also concerned by more and more people. It has been noticed that different working environments have a great impact on the performance of tags. Especially on the metal surface, because the metal will reflect a lot of electromagnetic waves, the performance of ordinary tag antenna may deteriorate dramatically, resulting in the inability to effectively read information. The goal of this project is to design a RFID tag antenna suitable for free space and metal surface and test its performance. An RFID tag is designed for ultra-high frequency band (902MHz-928MHz) in North America. The tag antenna is based on the structure of micro strip antenna. The tag antenna model is designed and simulated by using three-dimensional electromagnetic simulation software. The whole model consists of surface metal patch, medium substrate and metal floor at the bottom. In terms of bandwidth, a vertical H-slot method is used to cut the current path of the original patch to form multiple resonant modes, which expands the bandwidth of the antenna. The impedance of Impinj\'s Monza-4 chip is 11-143j at 915MHz. After testing, the echo loss of the tag antenna S11 is less than - 10dB in the range of 902MHz-928MHz. The gain of this antenna is also good. After the simulation and optimization process, the tag antenna is fabricated, the antenna object is made and the reading distance of the antenna is measured in free space and metal surface.

Abstract:SLAM (simultaneous localization and mapping) plays an increasingly important role in the field of robotics and autonomous driving. Laser SLAM in some outdoor complex situations, there will still be complex degradation. For some degraded scenes, this paper proposes a lidar odometry method based on converting lidar data into picture data. In this method, a degradation module is designed to detect whether the environment is degraded. If the degradation is followed by the method proposed in this paper. The method first converts the lidar data into canary release image data. Currently, the image already contains the accurate distance information of the lidar, and then processes it as an image through the Deep learning network to generate a stable and reliable lidar odometer. After testing, it is more accurate and robust than the algorithms commonly used in the industry in the kitti dataset and campus environment, It better solves the problems faced by some degraded scenarios.

Abstract:With the research and development of various types of application-specific instruction-set processor (ASIP), the algorithm library based on single-core general processor can not make full use of the structural characteristics and special instruction set of ASIP. In order to improve the computing performance of ASIP, it is usually necessary to design a special algorithm library. Based on a special processor for 5G small base station wireless communication, this paper optimizes the general FFT algorithm. In this paper, data reordering is added to the Cooley-Tukey algorithm to ensure the natural order of input and output data and increase the data-level parallelism in the algorithm. The optimized algorithm is implemented on the simulator of the dedicated processor using the dedicated instruction set. The experimental results show that the proposed method achieves a high speedup in the dedicated processor.

Abstract:Recently, indoor positioning and location-based service have attracted considerable attentions. In harsh indoor environment, non-line-of-sight (NLOS) propagation might cause serious localization bias. Therefore, an efficient method for screening line-of-sight (LOS) measurements is necessary for reliable positioning. In this paper, a novel LOS identification scheme, in which the geometric relationship between position error and angle of arrival (AOA) and the infomation of separated multipath are utilized, is proposed. Specifically, the identification procedure can be divided into three steps. Firstly, range measurements that may contain NLOS bias are used to obtain coarse location. Secondly, we derive a LOS confidence region about the two-dimensional AOA base on the initial coarse position, with the region threshold related to the initial positioning error and estimated AOA deviation. After filtering out the NLOS measurements, an improved two step weighted least squares (TSWLS) position estimator base on time difference of arrival (TDOA) and AOA is developed and used for accurately positioning. Simulation results reveal that the proposed algorithms can yield a high LOS/NLOS identification accuracy and localization precision.
