Abstract:This paper introduces a T-shaped resonator structure which is cross connected by double rectangles and coupled with waveguide. By using COMSOL simulation software based on finite element method, the physical characteristics of the structure are analyzed. The simulation results show that the transmission spectrum of the structure has one Fano peak and one Lorentz peak. Next, the influence of structural parameters on the transmission peak is studied. According to the research results, it can be found that the FR and LR peaks of the structure have excellent band-pass filtering effect. In addition, a new Fano resonance peak is excited by breaking the symmetry of the structure. The FOM value of the FR resonance peak is 210000, it means that the sensing performance of this structure is better than most sensors, which can be used as a high-performance refractive index sensor.

Abstract:In this paper, the trajectory design problem is investigated in wireless communications aided by multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and a multi-UAV trajectory design method called multi-agent twin delayed deep deterministic policy gradient (MA-TD3) is proposed which is able to design continuous trajectories without pre-knowledge of global information such as user locations and channel conditions, through integrating the multi-agent deep deterministic policy gradient (MADDPG) algorithm and twin delayed deep deterministic policy gradient (TD3) algorithm based on actor-critic reinforcement learning (RL) framework. In particular, the multi-UAV trajectory design problem is firstly formulated as a stochastic game (SG) to maximize the completion rate of the transmission tasks. Then, the MA-TD3 method is proposed which is based on the actor-critic RL framework and the learned trajectory is obtained successively. Numerical results show that compared to traditional single agent RL methods, the proposed MA-TD3 method achieves higher completion rate of the transmission tasks by enabling cooperation between multiple UAVs through centralized training and distributed execution.

Abstract:The past decades have witnessed the rapid developments of high-speed railways (HSRs) communications. To provide seamless communication services between high-speed trains, both mobile edge computing (MEC) servers and UAVs are integrated into HSRs to provide on-demand resource access. However, the sensitive delay requirements of high-speed services pose significant challenges to the resource allocation in HSRs. This paper will formulate the UAV-aided resource allocation in high-speed railways (HSRs) as a distributed optimization problem to optimize the resource utilization while minimizing the path blocking probability. To address this problem, a multi-agent deep deterministic policy gradient (multi-agent DDPG) approach is proposed. The MEC servers are taken as the agents to make resource allocation decisions in the training phase. The simulation shows demonstrate that multi-agent DDPG outperforms the traditional single-agent method. The proposed multi-agent DDPG-based resource allocation algorithm can achieve satisfactory performance.?????

Abstract:Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technology is available to improve the communication rate of visible light communication (VLC) systems and suppress inter-symbol crosstalk. However, one of its operational limitations is the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of the transmitted signal. In respond to this problem, an optimization scheme for phase factor estimation based on partial transmit sequences (PTS) is proposed. In this scheme, the original signal of the conjugate symmetrical data block length is divided into multiple data blocks, and each data block is subjected to IFFT transformation. At the receiver, the phase factor is selected according to the output signal of the PTS. Besides, the phase factor of each transformed data is weighted, and the superimposed signal is loaded on the LED. Simulation results show that this method is available to effectively reduce the PAPR of the OFDM based on VLC systems and obtain good bit error rate (BER) performance.

Abstract:There are a large number of examples about image recognition applications of mobile devices. Such as the FaceID in Iphones, which can greatly improved convenience. However, after a detailed research, it is obviously that most similar Apps run the risk of compromising users\' privacy, which violates the corresponding data protection law to a certain extent. This paper will introduce a new mobile federated learning image recognition algorithm called GNFedHAtt, which uses the lightweight neural network GhostNet and the new federated aggregation mechanism FedHAtt. And design the smart phone handwriting input method recognition experiments to verify, with the datasets of Mnist/EMnist/HWDB1.0, and compared to the traditional FedAvg and other federated aggregation methods. The results prove that GNFedHAtt method can be effectively applied to the mobile image recognition.

Abstract:This paper proposes a new cable interruption monitoring and transformer temperature warning system combined fiber Bragg grating (FBG) with optical time-domain reflectometer (OTDR).This new system coupled with FBG, and the OTDR active detection of optical cable line is optimized to trigger monitoring of line interruption. It improves the shortcomings of traditional optical cable interruption detection system, such as short service life of OTDR, long response time and not supporting large-scale detection. In the state of no power supply, this joint monitoring system can realize temperature early warning of transformer and achieve response in seconds in the actual application scenario.

Abstract:Fog computing is a promising architecture to provide economic and low latency data services for Internet of things (IoT) network systems. In fog computing, multiple mobile devices (MDs) with redundant resources at the edge of the network, commonly referred to as the fog nodes, can be available to help the IoT MD to execute its tasks. In this paper, we design a fog computing framework to enable cooperative processing for delay-sensitive IoT tasks on resource-abundant fog nodes. Based on this framework, multiple fog nodes can cooperate in a fog group and simultaneously process the IoT tasks, so that the computational efficiency of fog networks can be further improved and the resources of fog nodes can be fully utilized. We formulate the cooperative task processing problem as a Winner Determination Problem (WDP) with the objective of maximizing the completion delay reduction of all IoT MDs and propose a cooperative greedy computing algorithm with a low complexity as our solution. Numerical studies confirm that the proposed scheme can obtain a better performance in task completion delay minimization compared with the reference schemes.

Abstract:In this study, we develop a novel multi-sensing functional system based on Power-Over-Fiber (POF) technique. This system is characterized by its versatility, ultra low energy harvesting and management and remote equipment low consumption. An unusual energy management unit is designed, applied, and realized ultra-low energy collection. We use gallium arsenide as the photoelectric (PV) conversion unit in the system and design intelligent ultra-low power management unit utilization and management the energy of laser power into electricity. It provides a clever idea to solving power requirement of high consumption sensing equipment and promotes the practical application of the POF technology. To using energy more efficiently, a simulation model based on finite elements has been developed for the photovoltaic system. It presents a comprehensive numerical investigation on the effect of the performance of the photovoltaic cell using COMSOL 5.5 Multiphysics software. Abstract:This paper proposes a large number of points temperature warning scheme based on the same wavelength fiber Bragg grating (FBG) string. The temperature warning experiment environment was established for experiment and a single-channel demodulator was used to obtain the wavelength shift of FBG. This scheme uses wavelength division multiplexing(WDM) technology to measure temperature. The results showed that the system can realize a temperature warning with an accuracy of about 3℃.

Abstract:Collision avoidance as an essential use case for vehicular networks can effectively enhance the safety of vehicles. This paper addresses how to avoid collision between vehicles and vulnerable road users(VRU), i.e., pedestrians, cyclists or motorists equipped with smartphones. Due to the limited computation resource and processing capability of smartphones, mobile edge computing (MEC) is introduced. MEC is utilized to reduce the transmission delay and relieve the network congestion, by pushing computation resource and processing capability to network edge. In particular, this paper focuses on a collision avoidance scenario including an edge collision detector, multiple vehicles and VRUs. In addition, we propose a minimum bandwidth occupation algorithm for collision warning. By calculating the consumed bandwidth of two different candidate alerting methods, we are able to decide the most efficient way, which occupates minimum bandwidth, to avoid the colliison.
