Abstract:Flower-like Au-TiO2 core-shell nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized by a facile and high-yield hydrothermal method in which gold NPs were used as cores and TiF4 was used as precursor. A series of characterizations were carried out to examine the morphology, crystallinity, and composition of the nanostructures. The Au-TiO2 core-shell NPs exhibit uniform flower-like morphology, porous TiO2 shells, and strong surface plasmon resonance (SPR) absorption band in the visible light region. Hence, compared with the hollow TiO2 NPs, the Au-TiO2 core-shell NPs exhibited greatly improved photocatalytic activity for the degradation of methylene blue under visible light irradiation. Such enhancement can be ascribed to the resonant energy transfer and direct electron transfer between TiO2 and Au parts in the core-shell nanostructures. We believe that such plasmonic photosensitizers based on this enhancement mechanism would offer much more flexibility for designing solar energy materials, photocatalysts and other optoelectronic devices.

Abstract:We propose a scheme of practical four state decoy state reference-frame-independent quantum key distribution(RFI-QKD) with the heralded pair-coherent sources (HPCS). Although fewer state is used in our scheme, its performance can approach original six-state protocol. Through utilizing HPCS, we can obviously improve the performance of four state RFI-QKD in both the final key rate and the secure transmission distance compared with the protocol using weak coherent sources. Moreover, when taking source flaws, intensity fluctuations and statistical fluctuations into consideration, simulation results show that our protocol can achieve high key generation rate at long distance transmission.

Abstract:Fully differential cross sections of single ionization of Ne atom by a 36.1 eV linearly polarized XUV (attosecond extreme ultraviolet) photon has been studied using a reaction microscope. We obtain photoelectron angular distribution and β-asymmetry parameter directly. The measured angular distribution and β-asymmetry parameter are in a good agreement with the previous experimental results and the most accurate theoretical calculation.

Abstract:We report the forward radiation lasing and absorption phenomena in pure nitrogen gas produced by a collinear two-color laser setup, consisting of a 800 nm pump and 354 nm probe pulses. The spectral components of transmitted probe pulse are attributed at 353.8 nm, 354.9 nm and 356.4 nm, corresponding to transitions in the first negative band of the singly charged nitrogen molecular ion N2+. Compared with the absorption signals at 354.9 nm and 356.4 nm, the signal at 353. nm is radiational. The present study has a further understanding of population distribution in upper vibrational state.

Abstract:In this paper some speculated ideas are invented by analogy between gravity and electromagnetism. Analog to the relation between the fine structure constant and the Planck constant, planck constant of gravitational interaction is defined by the rest mass of the electron and the reduced fine structure constant. Then a recommended value of planck constant of gravitational interaction is given. If the definition is true, the reduced fine structure constant may be a common constant shared by gravitational and electromagnetic interactions. Based on the planck constant of gravitational interaction, main spectrum lines of Lyman series, Balmer series, and Paschen series of gravitational radiation of atomic Hydrogen are discussed, respectively. All the above ideas originate from a simple viewpoint that gravitational masses (the gravitational charges) should be invariant under Lorentz transformations.
