Abstract:In this paper the shock wave propagation over both single- and multi- circular cylinders in a duct were simulated numerically with the ghost cell method and high-resolution Roe scheme. Based on our calculation, the reflection and diffraction processes of a planar shock wave pass around a single cylinder were visualized, which agrees well with corresponding experimental results. Furthermore the interaction of the shock and multi-cylinders (an array of five circular cylinders) was also discussed in detail based on the predicted time-sequential results. | |||
