1. Comment on Quantum private query with perfect user privacy against a joint-measurement attack

Abstract:The quantum-key-distribution (QKD)-based quantum private query (QPQ) has become a research hotspot in recent years. Although such QPQ protocols are practical, joint-measurement (JM) attack is a noteworthy threat to the security of the database. Specifically, a malicious user can illegally obtain entries more than the average number of honest users from the database. Taking Jakobi et al.\'s protocol as an example, a malicious user can obtain up to 500 bits from a database of 10000 bits in one query instead of the expected 2.44 bits. In order to prevent JM attacks, Yang et al. proposed a novel classical post-processing against the JM attack. But after analysis, we found that there are security flaws in these protocols. It is impossible to achieve joint measurement resistance in the quantum private query agreement between the two parties only through a simple classical post-processing process.

Abstract:Synchronous dynamics in nearest-neighbor coupled chaotic oscillators with a few shortcuts is explored. The existence and stability of the partially synchronous states are studied. It is revealed that different topology of connections among oscillators gives rise to synchronized or unsynchronized dynamics. The criterion for the emergence of the partially synchronized states on a given network is theoretically discussed and proposed. The synchronization for the two-shortcut case are studied in detail, i.e., we prove that partial synchronization is always achievable for parallel networks, while the stability of partial synchronization depends crucially on the topology of connections for crossed and lambda networks. The phase diagram for the transition to partial synchronization is given for different cases. The manifestations for the transition to partial synchronization in relating to the Lyapunov exponent spectra are found and interpreted. These explorations indicate that the microscopic topology of the network have a profound effect on the macroscopic dynamical features of the system.

Abstract:We analyze the critical properties of Lipkin-Meshcov-Glick model in terms of fidelity susceptibility through -body reduced density matrix which we regard as reduced fidelity susceptibility. By computing the -body reduced density matrix, we obtain numerically the singular properties of reduced fidelity susceptibility in the vicinity of quantum transition point as well as its scaling behavior. We also make comparative study of ground-state and reduced ground-state susceptibility. We show that the -body reduced fidelity susceptibility can also be used to characterize QPTs

Abstract:Describing the weakly nonlinear dynamics of long waves embedded in marginally stable shear flows that vary in the streamwise direction, a variable-coefficient Boussinesq equation is investigated in this paper. With symbolic computation, such a model is transformed into its constant-coefficient counterpart under certain constraints on the coefficient functions. By virtue of the obtained transformation, some integrable properties for this equation are derived, such as the auto-Bäcklund transformation, nonlinear superposition formula, Lax pair and Darboux transformation. In addition, some soliton-like solutions are obtained from the integrable properties and the relevant physical applications are also pointed out.

Abstract:In this paper, we put our focus on a variable-coefficient fifth-order Korteweg-de Vries (fKdV) equation which possesses a great of excellent properties and is of current importance in physical and engineering fields. Certain constraints are worked out, which make sure the integrability of such an equation. Under those constraints, some integrable properties are derived such as the Lax pair and Darboux transformation. Via the Darboux transformation, which is an exercisable way to generate solutions in a recursive manner, the one- and two-solitonic solutions are presented and the relevant physical applications of these solitonic structures in some fields are also pointed out.
