Abstract: In this paper, 105 SAUR genes were identified and comprehensively analyzed in Populus trichocarpa. According to the phylogenetic relationship, the PtSAURs were classified into seven groups. 100 of the 105 PtSAURs were randomly distributed on nineteen chromosomes, others were located in scaffold; these genes were mainly evolved by segmental duplication. Ninety-four PtSAURs had no intron and each group had a similar conserved motif structure. Various cis-elements about growth, development and stress responses were discovered in promoters of PtSAURs and the orthology relationships of SAURs between Arabidopsis, rice, grape and poplar were established by synteny analysis. The analysis of expression profiles and qRT-PCR indicated that PtSAURs show different expression levels in various tissues and treatments. In summary, this study may provide a foundation for further studies of the function of SAURs in poplar growth and development. | |||
