Abstract:The flotation separation of rutile ore in Zaoyang was investigated by raw ore experiments and pure mineral tests. The mechanism of rutile with octyl hydroxamic acid (OHA) as collector was further studied by Zeta potential measurement and Infrared spectrum measurement. Raw ore experiment results indicate that rutile can be recycled effectually by using C5~9 hydroxamic acid as collector. The rutile grading of flotation concentrate can reach to 43.25% with the recovery of 69.10%.The pure mineral tests indicate that octyl hydroxamic acid(OHA) is an effective collecter of rutile and andradite, and rutile can be activated remarkably by lead nitrate while andradite not. Sodium fluosilicate was found to be an effective selective depressor for andradite. Zeta potential measurements and Infrared spectrum measurements indicate chemisorption and physically absorption are occured on the surface of rutile with OHA and stable pentabasic chelate are formed.

Abstract:The process parameters of the dense medium separation used to be predicted in the design process of a coal preparation plant. The data calculated in a month synthesizing and detected by a detectors is only that after the event. A online prediction system for the process parameters of dense medium separation system were developed. The system could accomplish the calculation of coal preparation recovery rates and productivities in real-time, the prediction of the density composition of the feeded raw coal, the concentrate yield, the efficiency and the density of the dense medium separation on line. The achieved parametes could be transmitted to the control system as the given control limite index. The system has been used in the product line efficaciously.

Abstract:In this study, copper extraction from copper oxide ore using phosphoric acid solution as leaching agent was investigated, wherein the effects of the main factor temperature on the leaching of the copper oxide ore was researched, together with the leaching kinetics. It was experimentally demonstrated that the copper leaching rate increased with the increasing reaction temperature. Moreover, the leaching process can be described by the shrinking core model for surface chemical reaction. The activation energy of the leaching process was determined to be 30.65kJ/mol..

Abstract:The copper oxide ore is high oxidation ratio and the high combination ratio with a low grade of Cu 0.71%. Copper concentrate of Cu 15.02% with a recovery of 38.55% was obtained by flotation. The optimum acid leaching conditions were investigated. Effects of lixiviant concentration, solid-to-liquid ratio, leaching time were investigated. The acid leaching efficiency was 78.75% relative to flotation tailings.

Abstract:Deinked pulp flotation column has been applied in wastepaper recycling. Bubble size in deinked pulp flotation column is very important during the flotation process. In this paper, bubble images of deinked pulp flotation column were first caught by digital camera, and then the bubbles were detected by using a detection algorithm based on sparse and redundant image processing. The results show the algorithms are very practical and effective on bubble detection in deinked pulp flotation column.

Abstract:This paper presents a mathematical study of particle flow on a banana screen deck using the discrete element method (DEM). The motion characteristics and penetrating mechanisms of particles on the screen deck are studied. Effects of geometric parameters of screen deck on banana screening process are investigated. The results show that when the values of inclination of discharge and increment of screen deck inclination are 10 and 5 respectively, the banana screening process get a good screening performance in the simulation. The relationship between screen deck length and screening efficiency is further confirmed. The conclusion that the screening efficiency will not significantly increase when the deck length L≥430mm(L/B≥3.5)is obtained, which can provide theoretical basis for the optimization of banana screen.

Abstract:From Shanxi Lingshi coal preparation plant the author get the pilot sample, and then get the protogenous trial sample and the grinding trial sample through preparing, looking for the difference of physical properties between them in quality and density.Research shows:Through grinding of the coal, the quality level in every particle size fraction is homogeneous, and the moisture and volatile matter become lower, the ash significantly increase, but the carbon fixed no obvious changes. Although there are no universal rules of the total sulfur and the granularity of grinding coal, the sulfate sulfur has a negative correlation with the granularity, the pyrites sulfur has a positive correlation with he granularity; The yield and total sulfur in every particle size fraction keep the trend with the protogenous coal, but the ash of different particle size is no homogeneous of the grinding coal.

Abstract:The paper mainly adopts two magnetic separation to separat, through comparation of desulphurization rate. And compare the desulphurization effect between filter magnetic and poles of opposite sign magnetic. The result is that their desulphurization rate are basically same, and the requst sulphur of poles of opposite sign is slightly lower than former. It also shows that desulphurization effect of poles of opposite sign magnetic is better than filter magnetic.

Abstract:This paper mainly introduces the principle and the importance of the desulfurization technology of magnetic separation. And through experiments,we know that with the increase of semi-coke temperature, desulfurization efficiency begins to increase and then decrease. The best pyrolysis temperature of coal is 550℃, whose desulfurization rate is 73.06%. It indicates that magnetic desulfurization after low temperature treatment can remove sulfur in coal.
