Abstract:With the rapid development of information technology such as AI and cloud computing, the energy consumption of data centers continues to increase. This has led to a transition of the power supply bus voltage from 12V to 48V. The research on the new generation of 48V to 1V converter is of great significance for reducing energy consumption, reducing bus volume, and improving the power supply efficiency of CPUs and GPUs in data centers. In this context, this paper designs a two-stage 48V voltage regulation module that combines a four-switch buck-boost converter and an LLC converter for the 48V bus server architecture. A real-time current control method is proposed for the FSBB converter to achieve zero-voltage switching of switching tubes within the full load range, and smooth switching between boosting and bucking modes. Finally, a 200W experimental prototype was built.

Abstract:Three phase four leg voltage source inverter (3P4L VSI) has the ability to carry unbalance and nonlinear loads, which makes it suitable to operate as distributed generator under stand-alone circumstance. However, the added neutral leg at the same time increases the complexity of the control process so that the computation burden becomes inevitably heavier. Model predictive control strategy has been proven robust to control four leg inverters, to solve the existing drawback of variable switching frequency which leads to possible instability, as well as to decrease the controller computation burden, this paper has proposed a strategy combined an effective modulation state with an optimized model predictive control method based on the mathematic model of the inverter. The high performance with fixed switching frequency and higher computation efficiency of the proposed strategy is validated by both simulation and experimental results.

Abstract:For the grid side current fed LCL inverter based photovoltaic farms, the mechanism of high-frequency resonance is revealed in this paper: the photovoltaic power station is equal to the circuit in which the resistance is connected in series with the capacitor in a certain frequency region, and it will be possible to construct an equivalent RLC resonant circuit with inductive grid impedance to produce an unstable or weak damping circuit resonance, represented as a high frequency resonant component emerging in the grid side current of LCL inverter. In addition, this paper theoretically verifies the RLC equivalent circuit and analyzes its excitation conditions. Furtherly, the influence of the control function of the LCL inverter on the damping characteristics of the equivalent resonant circuit is analyzed. Finally, the correctness of the analysis is verified by simulation experiments.

Abstract:In this paper, the problem of DC bus capacitance voltage fluctuation caused by multiple converters is studied. The main function of super capacitor energy storage device and DC-DC converter is to provide inertia response power, and its power characteristic is step load. Due to changes in the DC load characteristics of the gird side converter, the balance and stability of the original system will also change. Because the complex topology and system composition of wind storage integrated doubly fed wind turbine, the conventional control strategy can not be used to improve the dynamic response speed. Therefore, this paper designs a control strategy which is suitable for the rapid recovery of DC bus capacitance voltage of wind storage integrated doubly fed wind turbine. The theory proposed in this paper is verified by simulation model and experiment.

Abstract:It's well known that a switched-mode power supply is easily to produce electromagnetic radiation emission and often fails in EMC test for its RFI exceeding limits between 30MHz-100MHz. The accurate radiation emission prediction technology is very helpful to a SMPS designer to find the potential problems at earlier stage and remove them in advance. This paper proposes a novel time domain simulation method, electromagnetic field-circuit collaborative strategy (FCS), to predict the far-field radiation emission of a Buck converter. The feasibility and deviation of this method are analyzed firstly. Then a buck converter is modeled and simulated to predict its EMI source and far-field radiation emissions. The effectiveness of this method is verified by comparing the prediction results and the experiment results.

Abstract:This paper investigates sliding mode controls of the acceleration for a voice coil driven shaker. The electromechanical system is modeled. The double loop and two single loop controls are proposed, simulated and compared. Stability and robustness of the closed-loop system are analyzed, providing a guide for controller parameter selection. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the controllers. Acceleration and root mean square (RMS) current are controlled with the desired accuracy. The inverter switching loss is reduced. The different control strategies have different maximum switching frequencies, finite-convergence time, and tracking accuracies. The transient responses for a step input are predictable for all the controllers.

Abstract:This paper applied the whole modeling process of the large-signal model to an UCC3802-controlled forward DC/DC converter, which was fed by an UC3854-controlled PFC rectifier, and also contributed some improvements to the definition of this model. Simulation results showed that the improved large-signal model was accurate enough in treating the large-signal transient process and it was also more efficient in computer simulation.
