Abstract:The investigation of safety hazards is essential role in metro construction. However, due to many regulations and participants\' opinions needing to be considered, current safety hazards identified against the rules often need help with challenges such as being time-consuming, poor authority, poor traceability, or lack of real-time information. This study develops a novel blockchain-based safety hazard regulations storage system(SHRSS) and safety hazard monitoring system(SHMS) for metro construction to address these issues, expanding the use of blockchain in metro construction. The SHRSS constructs a safety hazard regulations database, standardized regulations, and stores in blocks. The SHMS builds a safety hazard information-sharing management blockchain, allowing each monitoring party to participate in risk monitoring. The paper draws discussions and summarizes the primary scientific contribution.

Abstract:In order to study the effect of guide vane on the vortex-induced vibration characteristics of blunt steel box girder section, this paper first compares the vortex-induced vibration response of the original blunt steel box girder section and the blunt box girder with three different sizes and forms of guide vanes by wind tunnel test. Secondly, the vortex-induced vibration responses of blunt box girders with three different forms and sizes of guide vanes are compared by numerical simulation. Finally, through the comparative analysis of the flow field of the original blunt body section and the inverted L-shaped guide vane with different sizes, the reason for the vortex vibration phenomenon of the blunt body section is found. The results show that the horizontal guide plate has good vibration suppression effect on vertical bending vortex vibration, but it will increase the vibration amplitude of torsional vortex vibration. The inverted L-shaped guide vane has a very obvious suppression effect on the torsional vortex vibration and vertical bending vortex vibration of the blunt body section. By comparing the flow field, it is found that the vortex at the top of the section is eliminated, and the large-scale vortex at the tail is decomposed into smaller-scale vortex, so as to achieve the purpose of suppressing vortex vibration.

Abstract:The increasing popularity of air transportation as national income rises and the e-commerce and logistics industry grows means that more and more flights need to stop in airports. In addition, due to the advent of COVID-19, more and more cargo flights are transporting anti-epidemic materials, which further increases the difficulty of flight scheduling and parking space allocation. In this paper, we investigate the flight gate pre-assignment problem to reduce the pressure on airports. Firstly, this paper establishes a gate pre-assignment model with multiple objectives based on real flight ground operation processes and gate pre-assignments scenarios. Secondly, this paper proposes a dynamic programming-indefinite length tabu search algorithm to solve the model. Finally, this paper verifies the effectiveness and superiority of the algorithm through experiments.

Abstract:Access between vehicle entrances and urban roads is one of the most important factors considered to ensure the safety and efficiency of the road operation. The entrance is usually located away from intersections to reduce the interference on urban roads. However, in practice, there are still some entrances that are set close the intersection. Therefore, this study conducted the traffic operational analysis of a controlled entrance accessing the urban road with a signalized intersection. A field investigation of the eastern entrance of Zhengzhou University was conducted. Video cameras were used to obtain traffic operation data. Poisson probability distribution was then utilized to describe the vehicles\' arriving process at the entrance using the Chi-square test. M/M/1 queuing model was utilized to analyze the queue length and waiting time of vehicles before the entrance barrier. Impacts of factors including the traffic light timing and phasing, barrier serving time, the distance between the entrance and the intersection on the traffic operation were analyzed.

Abstract:Taking a 62m concrete-filled steel tube bridge with curved string truss as the research object, according to its reinforcement scheme, the spatial finite element models of the bridge before and after reinforcement were established by using the general finite element software ANSYS. The natural frequencies of the bridge before and after reinforcement were calculated, and the seismic performance of the bridge was analyzed by using the response spectrum method. The results show that the frequencies of the reinforced bridges increase in varying degrees, especially the vertical and torsional frequencies. Before and after reinforcement, the maximum axial force in the upper chord of the bridge is the largest, and the shear force and bending moment are small. The maximum internal force basically appears at the two ends of the upper chord. This position should be regarded as the weak link of the bridge seismic resistance. Under the same cases, the axial force of the bridge after reinforcement is reduced by about 30% compared with that before reinforcement, and the displacement of the bridge after reinforcement is reduced in varying degrees. The reinforcement measures can improve the lateral and vertical stiffness of the bridge, especially the stiffness of the deck system.

Abstract:In this paper, a 4-DOF roll-plane half-car model of hydraulically interconnected suspension (HIS) system is established, and the dynamic equations in frequency domain for the mechanical-hydraulic coupled system are derived. Then, the sensitivities of the vertical and roll modal responses to the hydraulic parameters are analyzed by employing the Sobol global analysis approach. The results indicate that the parameters of accumulators and damping valves have a significant effect on the vertical and roll modal vibrations. On this basis, the high sensitive hydraulic parameters are selected as optimized variables, and an optimization objective function is designed by mixing the vertical acceleration power spectral density and the roll angular acceleration power spectral density via an S-function. Thereafter the HIS system is optimized using the orthogonal optimization method. Finally, simulations at the speed of 10m/s, 20m/s and 30m/s indicate the optimized HIS system synthetically improves the vehicle ride comfort and roll stability.

Abstract:High temperature and anti-ageing properties of asphalt could be improved by the addition of diatomite as researched in previous papers. It is believed to be alternative superior mineral filler in the construction of asphalt pavement in comparison with ordinary limestone powder. In this paper, compression strength and anti-deformation properties of asphalt sands with different content of diatomite were investigated by uniaxial compression failure test and uniaxial compression creep test. Five groups of asphalt sands with different volume content (0:1, 0.25:0.75, 0.5:0.5, 0.75:0.25 and 1:0) of diatomite to limestone were selected. The compression strength and secant modulus were firstly increased with the increasing of diatomite's content and then decreased when it exceed 0.75 whilst the creep strain was firstly decreased and then increased with the increasing of that. The compression strength and anti-deformation properties of asphalt sands were improved by the replacement of diatomite.
