Abstract:One of the challenges facing the current development of Internet of Things (IOT) is the heterogeneity of devices. A wide variety of devices may own a wide variety of underlying communication protocols and data transmission protocols. If we design and implement different management solutions for different devices, the cost is too much and the management is too inconvenient. In this paper, all the sensor devices and sensing data will be regarded as unified resources and identified by unique Uniform Resource Identifier (URI). We propose a device management system based on REST which can shield the diversity of underlying protocols and manage all the devices in internet of things service platform uniformly. Two major modules in this system are the data upload module and the device control module. The former one accomplishes data obtainment and data visualization. The latter one accomplishes modification of device state. This paper gives the implementation details of these two modules respectively in the prototyping system and the function and performance verification through experiments.

Abstract:The objective of this work is to give an outline on architecture and routing protocol of publish/subscribe model deployed over SDN. Examining performance of SDN transporting publish/subscribe based traffic under OpenFlow protocol gives us a new way to apply publish/subscribe architecture. Our evaluation work focus on studying the routing protocol according to the topology detected by floodlight and constructed by ourselves. OSPF and Jackson's theorem is included in the design of routing protocol. Main advantages and disadvantages of applying publish/subscribe mechanisms under SDN are shown.

Abstract:In recent years, Node.js has been developed rapidly and widely used. The evented and asynchronous properties of Node.js provide new solutions to server-side programming. In this paper, we introduce a lightweight service execution environment based on the theory of event-driven in Node.js and Flow Based Programming, briefly describing how it works in Web of Things, and its implementation. The service execution environment can be extensible and flexible.

Abstract:Research has proved that playing games will have positive effects on physical and emotional well-being of players. Nowadays motion sensing game is becoming more and more popular because it not only has the fun like traditional games, but also it can combine physical exercise with playing games. Considering most traditional motion sensing games are usually based on local large-screen television and multi players can't compete online together, this paper aims to take advantage of the convenient Internet, integrate the strengths of HTML5 in web development and Kinect in motion sensing interaction, and make good use of HTML5 WebSocket in communication, to develop browser-based Kinect games so that Kinect games no longer limited to local single player game, but multi players can compete online too. Using this idea we propose a brand-new game developing method and we implemented such a browser-based Kinect game "Flying Kite" to prove the feasibility and playability of this framework.

Abstract:With the fast and sound development of information technology in healthcare, medical data rapidly emerge in large numbers. However, existing platforms for patients' data storage cannot meet the needs of the even increasing large volume of medical data. Therefore, it is very important to develop effective storage platform to manage and store these massive medical data. Cloud computing offers low cost, high scalability, availability and fault tolerance which provides a good solution for some of the problems faced in storing and analyzing patients' medical data. Based on the distributed computing technology, this paper proposes a novel approach for mass medical data storage and management. It includes a solution for storing massive medical data storage platform based on Hadoop by using Linux cluster technology. Extensive experimental results demonstrate the efficiency, reliability, high scalability, and fault tolerance.

Abstract:The network performance can be analyzed and tested by network traffic measurement in a testbed network, using network traffic generation technology. While commercially available model-based generators fail to produce realistic flows, it is still different for trace-based traffic generators to capture, store and manage traffic collected from high-speed links. In this paper, we propose an extensible traced-based and flow-based traffic generator for high-speed links. Our generator provides low packet loss rate, extensible storage architecture and simple method of manipulating stored traffic.

Abstract:Based on the readout and crosstalk analysis, a kind of multi-channel PRML detection method which is suitable for photometric multi-wavelength optical disks has been brought forward in the paper. The proper PR mode and parameters have been discussed and the optimal solution has been given. Matlab simulation shows that the MPRML method is useful to improve BER performance and the optimal solution is validated. Te experiments on the FPGA-based development board also show that MPRML is applicable for photometric multi-wavelength optical disks.
