Nanosuspensions of silymarin with size distribution 31-326nm were prepared though microemulsion dilution. Dynamic light scattering showed that the size of nanoparticles of silymarin changed by increasing the volume of diluted water. Transmission electron microscopy confirmed that these colloidal nanoparticles have irregular shape. This research shows that silymarin nanoparticles can be formed from microemulsion with suitable oil and surfactant.
