In this paper, a fluorescent chemodosimeter p-(2,3,4,5-tetraephenyl)-phenylaniline (D) was synthesized, which shows excellent selectivity towards Fe3+/Cu2+. When FeCl3 or CuCl2 was added into the ethanol solution of D, it exhibits a phenomenon that a great decrease of emission intensity against environmental and biological samples. In addition, further experiments demonstrate that Fe(NO3)3 has the similar influence as FeCl3 while Fe2(SO4)3 has not on the emission spectra of D; as for copper salts, copper acetate has the similar influence as CuCl2 while Cu(NO3)2 and CuSO4 cannot make the emission intensity of D quench completely.
Keywords:Quantitative analysis; Fluorescent chemodosimeter; Fe3+; Cu2+; quench
