An organic-inorganic heterostructure light emitting diode consisting of the hole transporting layer poly (9,9-dioctyl?uorenyl-2,7-diyl) (PFO) and n-type ZnO nanorod arrays is reported. ZnO nanorod arrays were synthesized by hydrothermal method, and characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and photoluminescence spectrum. The current-voltage characteristics of the ZnO/PFO heterojunction showed diode behavior, and the turn-on voltage was 5.0 V. The light emitting phenomenon was observed in the heterostructure light emitting diode at the bias voltage of 7.0V. |
