A radio-over-fiber (RoF) link providing 60 GHz mm-wave signal using a 10 GHz RF signal source is proposed and simulated. According to our theoretical analysis of transmission performance of the signal, the scheme can eliminate the code form distortion caused by the sideband walk-off effect due to the fiber chromatic dispersion, and by adjusting the phase of the -2nd-order sideband, the influence of fading effect is removed. The numerical simulation results show that the radio-over-fiber (RoF) link with our generated optical mm-wave signal maintains good performance.
