In this paper, two new species of eriophyoid mites in the family Eriophyidae associated with Salicaceae, namely Tetra cupulara sp. nov. on Salix cupularis Rehd. (Salicaceae), Tetra banqia sp. nov. on Populus sp. (Salicaceae) are described and illustrated. Field surveys were conducted in Yunnan Province. All are vagrants causing no apparent damage to the host plants.
