Fast anti-seepage and anti-corrosion are two difficult problems to be solved in an acid environment having abundant water and high content heavy metal. In this study, new grouting material with acid corrosion resistance was formed by adding slag and fly ash to cement-water glass two-shot grouting material. It is noted that the rapid setting of two-shot grout was maintained. Setting time and fluidity were tested and both satisfied the requirements of actual engineering. Scanning electron microscope (SEM), Uniaxial compressive strength test, and X-ray diffraction (XRD) were used to test the microstructure of grout gels, mechanical properties, and components, respectively. Before and after corrosion, uniaxial compressive strength of new grouting material was 16.8MPa before the corrosion and the strength was 10.6MPa after the corrosion signifying the corrosion resistance.Test results of XRD and SEM indicated that hydration products dissolution and microstructure destruction are the main reasons which decreases the grout gel strength due to acid corrosion.
Keywords:anti-seepage; corrosion; grouting material; heavy metal; mechanical property
