In this paper, chemical precipitation was used to produce nano silica in the presence of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) as composite dispersant. The structure and property of samples were characterized by IR, XRD, SEM and BET. The results indicates that the product with small particle size ,large specific surface area and high oil adsorption value can be prepared under these conditions: concentration of acidic water glass: 7.5 Be′; temperature: 60-70 °C; pH value: 8; the amount of dispersant: 1.6% 5 Be′ water glass..
