This paper proposes a new cable interruption monitoring and transformer temperature warning system combined fiber Bragg grating (FBG) with optical time-domain reflectometer (OTDR).This new system coupled with FBG, and the OTDR active detection of optical cable line is optimized to trigger monitoring of line interruption.It improves the shortcomings of traditional optical cable interruption detection system,such as short service life of OTDR, long response time and not supporting large-scale detection.In the state of no power supply,this joint monitoring system can realize temperature early warning of transformer and achieve response in seconds in the actual application scenario.
