Based on coupled mode theory of the irregular coaxial waveguide with smoothly varying profile, the mode selectivity of a coaxial Bragg reflector with inner and outer conducting wall sinusoidally corrugated is investigated. Numerical analysis is carried out under various corrugation parameters, and the results indicate that good mode selectivity can be achieved when the outer wall and inner rod of the reflector are corrugated with a same ripple period and proper amplitude. Comparative study shows that if the outer wall and inner rod have different corrugation periods, the mode selectivity of the coaxial Bragg reflector may be deteriorated.
