Opportunity-Awaiting control (OAC) is a type of stochastic control which constraints the control output within a spatial area, instead of a single point. In this paper, for a class of discrete-time system, OAC with constraint of interval target area under stable stochastic serials with normal distribution is discussed. Formulas of average residence time and average waiting time are derived and the consistency between them is analyzed. The residence time and waiting time are determined by the steady-state output variance and the correlation coefficient of the output. The corresponding control strategy is illustrated based on LMI method.
