A considerable attention has focused on hybrid organic–inorganic nanocomposites in recent years. Organic–inorganic hybrids have both the advantages of organic materials, such as light weight, flexibility and good moldability, and inorganic materials, such as high strength, heat stability and chemical resistance. In this work, polyvinyl acetate (PVAc)/titanium dioxide (TiO2) organic-inorganic hybrid was prepared by sol–gel method. Electrospinning technique was used to fabricate PVAc/TiO2 hybrid nanofibers. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) was employed to examine the morphology of the hybrid nanofibers. The mechanical and thermal properties were characterized by Zwick universal material testing machine and thermo gravimetric analyzer (TGA), respectively. The results showed that the mechanical and thermal stability properties were improved with TiO2 filled in the hybrid.
