In this paper, we focus on the first order difference equation x(n+1)-x(n)=f(n,x(n)) and get some sufficient conditions concerning uniform stability, convergence and divergence. Applying these conditions, we discuss further in detail some properties of the equation x(n+1)-x(n)=x(n)^a/n^b.
