Generalized co-Frobenius algebras (or briefly gcF-algebras) are introduced. The concept generalizes co-Frobeius Hopf algebras and bi-Frobenius algebras. This paper studies basic properties of various Nakayama automorphisms in a gcF-algebra. As an application Radford\\\\\\\
