The chiral compound 1 derived from bis(2-pyridinmethyl) amine was designed and synthesized, through binding with metal ions (Zn2+, Cu2+), the ternary complex 1-2Zn2+ and 1-2Cu2+ was formed. It was found that these two complexes could be used to detect anions in aqueous solution (10mM HEPES buffer). We used the pyrocatechol violet (PV) as the UV-vis indicator to monitor the binding process. The both two complex 1-2Zn2+(PV) and 1-2Cu2+ (PV) displayed the selective recognition ability to pyrophosphate anions over other anions such as phosphate, ATP, ADP, AMP, acetate and halogen anions. The binding result was confirmed by the circular dichlorism (CD) spectrum. |
