In order to carry out P2P service efficiently, a solution of IC-P2PTRD (P2P Traffic Re-Direction based on Inspection and Control) applied in PON access network was proposed. However, IC-P2PTRD may cause failure in redirection. This thesis proposed a solution of MIC-P2PTRD (Modified P2P Traffic Re-Direction based on Inspection and Control) based on IC-P2PTRD while carried out an simulation analysis using the network simulation tool of NS2, verified that this strengthened P2P redirection solution has made certain improvement in reducing the network throughput burden in the core network.
