A novel Al2O3/graphene oxide composite(Al2O3/GOs) was prepared by sol-gel technology. The as-synthesized materials were characterized by XRD, SEM/TEM, BET and FT-IR etc. The synthesis of graphite oxide (GO) was accomplished by the Hummers method. Before Sol-Gel process, exfoliated graphite oxide was dispersed into uniform suspension in water/alcohol solution. To investigate the modification effect from graphene in catalytic alumina materials, we investigated respectively the CoMoS catalysts supported in composite and γ-Al2O3 for selective HDS of FCC gasoline oil, the result showed the CoMoS catalyst loaded on Al2O3/graphene composite possess a higher selective hydrodesulfurization performance than γ-Al2O3.
