In order to ensure the security of the classified network, the main method used currently is to physically isolate the classified network. It reduces security threats from external network. However, there are still many security risks inside the classified network, especially illegal external link and abuse of removable storage media, which can cause disclosure of sensitive information, infection of classified hosts with malware and so on. This paper proposes and implements an illegal external link monitoring system on Linux platform, aiming at solving the problems mentioned above. It focuses on the monitor of illegal external link and management of removable storage media on classified computers. According to the survey, it is the first time in this filed to publicly analyze such kind of system based on Linux platform. To prove the feasibility of the proposed architecture and key techniques, this paper carries out a series of experiments, and gives out the detailed experimental data.
