The reliability and security of components block the development of component technology. An effective assessment approach of component security level can promote the development of component technology. This paper proposes a quantitative assessment approach of component security level. The steps of interface fault injection and the assessment framework are given. Meanwhile, a formula and algorithm about security level assessment are also given. The experiment results show that the approach not only can detect component security vulnerabilities effectively, but also can quantitatively assess the component security level. The future work is summarized and prospected in the end of the paper.
