In this paper, we have synthesized tert-butyl 4-(3-phenylthioureido)piperidine-1-carboxylate by reacting isothiocyanatobenzene and 4-Amino-1-Boc-piperidine. The structure of title compound was confirmed by elemental analysis, ESI-MS spectrum and X-ray single crystal determination. The chain structure of title compound is formed by intramolecular N-H...O, N-H...S, C-H...O and intermolecular C-H...S hydrogen bonds.
