A robust distributed beamforming approach for time asynchronous cooperative communications systems is developed. In this method, the effect of time-asychronization is considered. The minimum receiving SINR on the destination is maximized subject to the constraints that individual relay transmitted power is limited. This distributed beamforming problem is shown to be a quasi-convex problem and can be solved using semi-definite programming along with a bisection search method. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method is robust to the time-asychronization and its performance is better than both the MRC and the non-robust method.
