Magnetic properties of carbon fiber (CF) composites were explored at radio frequency. The artificial high-frequency magnetic response of CF composites was experimentally demonstrated. Basing on the theoretical model proposed by Lagarkov et al, the effective magnetic permeability of composite was numerically explored. The numerical result yields a good agreement with the experimental result for dilute CF composites. It was found that the permeability of composite will increase with the volume fraction of CF (vf) until it is close to the percolation threshold of composite. We also found larger aspect ratio of CF will cause larger permeability for the composite with same vf.
