A numerical study is conducted to investigate the vibration behavior of concrete composite floors with profiled steel-deck under human loading activity. The Finite Element based analytic model is proposed to simulate composite flooring. The dynamic properties of the composite floor are evaluated and the influences of the concrete slab depth, the damping ratio and the presence of openings are analysed. The composite floors are then tested under human induced forces and the dynamic responses of the model are compared with those of the same model with openings. It is found that presence of the openings in the floor slab does not greatly affect the natural frequencies of the system but it changes the peak accelerations under human induced forces.
