The second-order interference with photons of different colors in a Hong-Ou-Mandel interferometer is studied in Feynman's path integral theory. It is concluded that there is two-photon interference for photons of different colors if the detection system can not distinguish them in principle. The second-order temporal beating can be observed when the mean frequencies of the superposed photons are different. It is a direct result of that measurement in quantum mechanics is dependent on the measuring apparatus.
