Reducing the dark currents is an effective route to suppress thermal damage of organic optoelectronic devices and enhances the on/off ratio of photoelectric devices. Different from the single crystalline nanostructures and organic hetero-junctions with the well-matched energy levels, thin hybrid films consisting of p-type polymer and gold nanoparticles are constructed as an efficient photodetector in this work. The rationalized polymer/Au interfaces decrease the dark current by a factor of 100 times, meanwhile the corresponding response and recovery times are respectively decreased by 71% and 60% in comparison with pure polymer conterpart. Gold nanoparticles are considered as the plasmonic absorber for the incident light to enhance the on/off ratio in electrical current, especially the optimized recyclability of output signal evidenced by the negligible declination after 900 cycles will offer an attractive path to configure the robust photodetector with high efficiency and long lifetime.
