Electromagnetic loading in the metal structures will produce stress wave signal at the edge of the crack and this phenomenon can be used in nondestructive testing of metal defects. As the core of electromagnetic load, the output parameters of the exciting source, such as current frequency and amplitude, have a significant impact on loading effect. For the loading demand of the electromagnetic acoustic emission (EMAE), using the energy storage of the capacitor, the pulse high current which the EMAE needs can be achieved by capacitor discharging instantaneous. It designs the adjustable regulated power supply based on semi-bridge switching circuit principle. The parameter display and adjustment module can be achieved based on the single-chip system. Applying to the EMAE experiment, it can reach the expected target.?????
