Constant mean curvature (CMC) surfaces are a kind of important objectsin differential geometry. There are many works in this topic and manydifferent methods to construct CMC surfaces, like mean curvature flow and implicit function theorem. Among others, in thispaper we intend to survey several aspects in this area. The main focus are the works of myself. And we willintroduce an ODE method in constructing CMC surfaces at the end of the paper. This method is particularly suitable for the construction in the spaces with axis symmetry.
