In this paper we study the collective excitations of the Bardeen-Cooper-Shieffer (BCS) superfluids. Our starting point is a gauge invariant electric-magnetic (EM) linear response theory formulated by Shrieffer, with a special interaction vertex introduced. We analyzed the collective excitations at zero temperature, it can be found that it reduces to the sound speed in certain limit.
