An hepta-band antenna for mobile phones with the size of 80mm×5mm×4mm is proposed and studied. The proposed antenna is composed of a coupled line, a monopole stub and a grounded stub. By using the multi-mode method, the lower band(824-960MHz) and the higher band (1710-2690MHz) are covered. The working mechanism is analysed by dividing the proposed antenna into three parts as reference antenna. The simulated -6dB impedance bandwidths are 150MHz (830-980MHz) and 0.98GHz (1700MHz-2680MHz) at the lower band and higher band, respectively. The proposed antenna is capable of covering the GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS, LTE2300,and LTE2500 bands. |
