In this paper, the outage behavior of a decode-and-forward (DF) relaying network is studied in a two-hop diffusion-based molecular communication (MC) system. The MC system can be characterized by outage probability and outage events. Based on this event and probability, the robustness of the transmissions to fading is measured. Specifically, according to Shannon\'s capacity theorem and Fick\'s law, the outage probability of fading channels is investigated. The distribution characteristics of the channel gain is considered based on the proposed relaying system. The analysis of this article can be useful for the performance optimization of MC system.
Keywords:molecular communication; outage probability; decode-and-forward; fading channels
