The discussion of intuitive system of human beings is a hot spot in the Knowledge Engineering and management field. Intuitive system is referred to analogical reasoning. Analogical reasoning is discussed frequently in cognition and artificial intelligence field because of its’ creative power. But its’ accuracy of solving problem is less mentioned. In this article, the research history of analogical reasoning in cognition field is introduced briefly and two examples of analogical reasoning, which are a four-term problem and Rutherford’s atomic model respectively, are shown. And then, concerning the creativity of the analogical reasoning, the key step, relation-shift process, is abstracted, which is that a relation exists in the base domain should exist in the target domain if another relation exists in both and the components are aligned according to structure-mapping theory. The accuracy of the key step is discussed mathematically. Two definitions, shifted relation and aligned relation, are clarified. Then this problem about accuracy is transformed two statistic problems, which are referred to conditional probabilities. And we draw a conclusion that if positive correlations between the aligned relations and the shifted relations are higher, or if the correlations between the aligned relations are less, the answer is more right. At last, this article suggests that the improving work of the solution of this problem should focus on the statistic ways.
Keywords:intuitive system, analogy, analogical reasoning, structure-mapping theory, relation-shift process
