This paper introduces the detection method of Hydrogen content in coal by using neutron method. The detection model of Hydrogen content in coal based on BP neural network which is optimized by Genetic Algorithms was put forward, and the research of verifying the model was made by comparing the practical measured date of coal in power plant. The results show that the detection precision using this model is 0.2%.
