In the paper we propose a method to construct an algebraic curve from the given control point set based on the guidance vectors of the control polygon defined by these points. After deriving the curve’s expression and analyzing its properties, we apply it in constructing interpolating curve whose shape can be modified easily. Furthermore the method can be directly generalized to construct implicit surfaces.
