he non-equilibrium grain-boundary segregation (NGS) level of phosphorus with solution temperature 1050°C in an industrial steel 2.25Cr1Mo was investigated in this paper. The NGS concentrations of phosphorus were measured with Auger Electron Spectroscopy (AES). The NGS kinetics curve of phosphorus at isothermal holding temperature of 540°C was achieved which provides a direct evidence of the NGS kinetic model proposed by Xu Tingdong. The critical time was also calculated. Both experimental and calculated results show that the critical time for phosphorus non-equilibrium grain boundary segregation is about 1100h at 540°C. Experimental results show that from the start to about 1100h, the grain-boundary segregation concentration of phosphorous increasing continuously with increasing isothermal holding time. When the holding time is longer than 1100h, the phosphorus segregation concentration decreasing continuously with increasing holding time, and the maximum value of segregation degree a |
